The alarming news about the TRA issued on 01 August 2010, confirming that Blackberry Messenger, Blackberry E-mail and Blackberry Web-browsing services in the UAE will be suspended as of October 11th 2010. The suspension is a result of the failure of ongoing attempts, dating back to 2007, to bring Blackberry services in the UAE in line with UAE telecommunications regulations.
A month ago Etisalat announced alternative packages for BB users, but lately as we reached the last 2 weeks before the suspension, we haven't heard anything from the network.
